At Oxford Brookes University I received the prize for Overall Best Student on Course for the active role and high achievement I accomplished, and won two travel scholarships that I used to travel across Europe to Spain, and to Germany and the Nordic countries. I am passionate about flying, and scuba diving when time allows. I am also very lucky to live with a faithful hound who would have you believe he is a Labrador. It is, on reflection, quite interesting to me that I was attracted to building design, and found such affinity with the 3D CAD drawing course in my degree - my grandfather, although I never knew him, was an architectural modeller before me, and his great friend, my great uncle, was an architect... and if one looks even further back in my genealogy, I am a some number of greats nephew of George Meikle Kemp, a self taught architect: designer and builder of the Scott Monument in Edinburgh: in front of which my portrait, used on this website, was taken in 2009.
